Anastrozol is indicated for treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal woman with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
Common side effects include hot flushes, altered mood, joint pain, and nausea. Severe side effects include an increased risk of heart disease and osteoporosis.
